Auckland Trip 2013
We had a fantastic trip to Auckland. It was an extremely busy time with lots to fit in, but I am sure that it was thoroughly enjoyed by both students and adults who attended.
A huge thank you to all the parents who accompanied us, you were all great and a huge help to us teachers.
Thank you to Lisa Fletcher for the photos that are below. If any other parents have pictures from the trip we would love to see them.

Tea time at Waiwera Pools. The swimming was great fun but left us all feeling hungry!
Next stop was Kelly Tarltons, here we are onboard a snow truck.
Braeden, the crab.
MOTAT- on board an old steam engine.
How many people can you fit in a telephone box?
Mathew and Ethan on the tram at MOTAT. Ethan
wears the drivers hat.
Here we all are about to go off in our groups
and explore the Auckland Zoo.

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4
Hi everyone and welcome back to term 4. We are already into our second week, with our first week being full of activity.
We started our term back with a visit from the filming crew for Country Calendar. Jessica and Kate's family are having an episode made about their farm. We look forward to seeing this view on television next year.
We had a visit from the Duffy Theatre group. This group visits our school each year as part of the Duffy Books in Homes program. This year's show was called Duffy Loses His Words and was about how reading gives us lots of words we can use. It was very funny and entertaining and we were lucky to have our photo taken with the actors involved at the end.

Sansa Kroma (again)
I've just reposted this as I think I had the video setting on Youtube as private and you couldn't actually see the video. I have made it unlisted so it should be seen from this link. If anyone tries to watch the video could you leave a comment to let us know if it works or not please.

Ms Megginson taught us a song that is sung by school children in Ghana. It is about a hawk losing it's parents and being left behind, it tells the children of Ghana that even if lose their parents other friends and family will always take care of them.

Gavin Hill - Duffy Hero
Today was our Duffy Hero Assembly and we were very lucky to have Gavin Hill, ex Bulldogs, Warriors and Kiwi player visiting with us. Gavin spoke to us about how important it is to read to help us achieve our dreams in life. We were lucky to be able to grab a photo with Gavin afterwards.

This morning Ms Megginson (our student teacher from Waikato University) took a group for drama. They had a story about superheroes which they used to create superhero characters.
